Inverter technology is the latest evolution in air condition, unlike a regular fixed speed on/off ac the compressor in an inverter unit is variable speed. What this means is the compressor speeds up or slows down according to required cooling.
Once the unit has cooled the room to the desired temperature the compressor runs at a slower speed just to maintain that level of cooling, this equates to very low energy cost.
